As Data Governance Lead for Global People Organization Data, you will be responsible for executing the GPO data strategy through establishing Data Stewardship, Data Governance Policies, Data Audits and guard rails, clearly defining and assigning data roles, and adopting and monitoring a data governance framework to ensure quality, security and compliance.
In this role, you will:
· Develop data governance policies: Create policies regarding data classification, access, data quality standards, & data sharing procedures.
· Identify key stakeholders: Determine who will be involved in data governance, including data owners, data stewards, data custodians, and business users.
· Establish a governance structure: Determine the decision-making process, escalation procedures, and communication channels for data governance issues.
· Monitor and measure effectiveness: Regularly review data governance performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with policies.
· Data quality: Implementing processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
· Data security: Protecting sensitive data through appropriate access controls, encryption, and data privacy measures.
· Data compliance: Adhering to relevant data privacy regulations and industry standards.
· Data lineage: Tracking the origin and movement of data throughout its lifecycle within the organization.
· Establish data stewardship council: Identify ownership of specific data sets to designated data stewards who are responsible for their quality and governance and establish a council to review data governance across stewards.

Key Qualifications and Experiences:
· 5+ Years experience leading data governance including establishing frameworks and best practices, familiarity with Data privacy regulations and compliance, and demonstratable data quality monitoring and improvement.
· Experience leading with informal authority by building consensus, influencing decision making, conflict resolution and achieving objectives through matrixed leadership.
· Proven ability to develop data governance metrics and monitor compliance and improvement.
· Prior experience in data quality and data cleansing initiatives leading to measurable outcomes.
· Strong communication skills across multiple layers of the organization from the C-Suite to line managers, both written and spoken.
