Position Summary:

Operations Specialists within the Central Stores team provide a critical connection between the Central Stores Operations team, K-C global manufacturing sites and external suppliers to ensure the continuity and cost effectiveness of machine parts across the enterprise. 

This position plays a critical role in sustaining core tools, analytics and reporting across the globe. The incumbent must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, experience leveraging multiple data analytical tools to support the optimization of the +$300 million of Spare Parts/Operating Supplies global inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support in developing and maintaining Management tools, analytics and reporting on a Global basis. Including (but not limited to);
    • Inventory Health / Inventory Management 
    • Inventory Performance Reporting and Analytics 
    • Export Compliance
    • Internal Control Compliance
    • Repair/Warranty Cost Savings

  • Provide functional leadership in application of stores & spare part management processes e.g.
    • Technical Subject Matter Expertise
    • Coaching/Mentoring
    • Problem Solving / Development

  • Act as one of the Central Stores MRP Controllers, with the objective of managing supply of spare parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels at Central Stores
  • As a member of the Central Stores team, collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and stores functions to:
    • Make recommendations of appropriate stocking levels of spare parts to optimize inventory
    • Identify alternative solutions for spare parts to; replace obsolete parts, reduce cost, improve reliability and/or optimize inventory

  • Support the training and development of Stores personnel on stores practices and procedures as needed
  • Additionally, the role provides significant support the Kimtech and Global/Segment procurement teams

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop and deliver equipment and processes that meet safety requirements, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics Data Science, or demonstrated experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated Strong analytical skills
  • A demonstrated ability with Data Science and/or Analytical connected tools including, Access, Excel, & VBA
  • Demonstrated SAP Subject Matter Expertise level knowledge and capability
  • 5 plus years’ experience in a variety of operational assignments in a manufacturing, logistics, maintenance and/or staff environment.
  • A demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within required timeframes.
  • Experience working with external technical service providers, parts/equipment suppliers.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead small cross-functional projects to achieve intended results within required timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills across multiple levels of the organization, including with senior leadership. Must have the ability to translate technical knowledge into consumable data for the non-technical experts.
  • Ability to travel to support business needs (up to 10% of the time).

The anticipated base pay range for this job has a range of $78,000 to $93,000.
