The Role 

The RGM Lead will work in our International Family Care and Professional (IFP) segment which covers 5 regions,  UK&I, EMEA, Asia, ANZ and LATAM.   

The business unit is focused on family care and professional products outside of North America. It includes market leading brands such as Kleenex®, Andrex® and Scott® paper towels to name a few. 

The IFP RGM Trade Spend & Mix Lead is crucial for fostering profitable and sustainable topline growth within the organization.  As part of the International Commercial Excellence team, you’ll have the opportunity to define and shape RGM strategy and capability across the international regions and markets working with local RGM teams to enhance business performance outcomes.

The International Family Care & Professional (IFP) RGM Trade Spend & Mix Lead is crucial for fostering profitable and sustainable topline growth within the organization.  As part of the International Commercial Excellence team, you’ll have the opportunity to define and shape RGM strategy and capability across the international regions and market level RGM teams to enhance business performance outcomes.

The primary purpose is to develop IFP Trade Promotions, Commercial Policy, and Mix capabilities by creating and executing detailed RGM Trade Spend and Mix playbooks, and to lead identified RGM projects across our international regions for our IFP business and brands.

This role focuses on strategies and capabilities across both Consumer and Professional categories, regions, and channels to maximize revenue, increase market share, and mitigate the effects of commodity inflation and foreign exchange impacts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure RGM ways of working and benchmarks to implement an operating model that enables regional and market teams to focus on priorities to deliver Net Revenue Realization (NRR) and a solid 3-year RGM Pipeline of initiatives

  • Collaborate with Segment, Category and Brand teams to capture the best value out of our products with the right pack-price architecture, promotional plans and commercial policy to address the competitive environments of each market, channel and segment, using analytic tools (Customer P&L modelling, Mix & Trade Spend optimisation) across all channels.

  • Drive design and deployment of efficient and effective IFP Trade Spend (Trade Promotions Management, & Commercial Policy) & Mix strategy that defines core principles and frameworks by category and market archetype, leveraging best practice business processes to support and build local capabilities.

  • Lead the design and deployment of Strategic Trade Spend & Mix playbooks, operational guidance and success stories, accelerating local capabilities and ensuring markets have direct access to best-in-class reference materials. 

  • Define and roll out digital capability roadmap by partnering with regional teams and digital teams to align Trade Spend Analytics, Reporting and Optimisation (CBP, TPM, TPA, TPA) tool deployment and local compliance, ensuring consistent monitoring of Trade Spend performance metrics (e.g. ROI, VSOD, etc.) and assessment of future state requirements and aspirations by keeping current with top tier and market developments.

  • Partner with regional teams to build both RGM capability and robust plans to enable delivery of financial commitments.

About You

  • Management & Leadership: Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including General Managers, Financial leaders, Sales Directors, and Marketing leaders.

  • Commercial Strategy: Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive RGM strategies focused on Trade Spend and Mix.

  • Sales & Category Management: Experience within the FMCG sector, primarily in B2C with some B2B exposure.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for data-driven decision-making to identify opportunities, efficiencies, and strategies.

  • Revenue Management: In-depth knowledge of revenue management principles, promotional strategies, performance-based trade terms, ROI, NRR, and revenue optimization techniques.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, cultural and organizational sensitivity, and the ability to drive impact across diverse cultures and facilitate geographically remote teams.

  • Educational Background: Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.

These skills will enable you to drive profitable and sustainable topline growth while effectively collaborating with various stakeholders.

Location: Tadworth, Surrey on Hybrid Contract. Additionally, this role can be based remotely in Western Europe.
