We invite you to pave your own path through determination, passion, and resilience at Kimberly-Clark. Petra A., part of our Kimberly-Clark family for nearly 25 years, shares her career journey.

I am proud to have been with Kimberly-Clark for nearly 25 years, and I look forward to sharing my story of career path accordingly with you.

I began my career here in April 2000 as a Marketing Team Assistant, being the youngest member of the team at that time. Kimberly-Clark had acquired another business, and the team relocated to Mainz, Germany, where we had our own production for dry and wet toilet paper. During a period of transition, I started answering phone calls and taking on smaller projects. This was when I discovered my passion for brands and marketing. I expressed my desire to continue working in this field to the Marketing Director, who believed that I lacked the traditional academic background. However, my passion was ignited, and I began a three-year part-time study program, which I successfully completed in 2005.

Proudly, I was appointed as the Brand Manager for Kleenex®, where I had the opportunity to execute many wonderful campaigns for the brand. From that point on, I was able to continuously develop myself. I progressed to the role of Marketing Manager and then to the Head of Marketing for the German consumer business. I expanded my career by taking on a regional position, which I held for a year from Reigate, England. After my maternity leave, I returned to sales as a Key Account Manager, and shortly thereafter, I took on the role of Sales Director for Germany.

This was followed by three wonderful years at Kimberly-Clark Professional®, until I returned to the consumer division in 2020 as the Country Manager for Germany. For the past two years, I have been responsible for the entire DACH (Deutschland, Austria, and Switzerland) region, leading a motivated and talented team. Throughout this time, team cohesion, the belief in winning, and the desire to improve the lives of many people have always been my top priorities. I am guided by the saying: "When nothing is certain, everything is possible."

I am infinitely grateful for the wonderful opportunity to develop myself in this way. It started with me; I had supervisors who always believed in me, and Kimberly-Clark supported me all way through.

Petra’s journey proves that you can grow your career in ways you never imagined, especially in a place where you’re supported every step of the way. If you’re ready to make an impact and build a career that excites you, it starts here.
